Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terry Silver (ranked 4170 p4p, 4564 weight class) and Eddie Ribbler (ranked 539 p4p, 573 weight class). Eddie Ribbler is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Silver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddie Ribbler! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silver misses with an uppercut. Terry Silver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silver misses with a straight right. Ribbler fails with a takedown attempt. Ribbler dives in and grabs Silver's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silver pushes down on Ribbler's head and hops out. Silver falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ribbler counters with a lovely straight right hand! Silver takes a swing at Ribbler's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silver stuffs the takedown. Terry Silver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Ribbler. Ribbler shoots for a double leg takedown but Silver sprawls well. He's pushed Ribbler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A telegraphed right hand from Silver misses the target. Ribbler shoots for a takedown but Silver saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Silver looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribbler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ribbler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ribbler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silver is fending him off so far but Ribbler persists. Nope, Silver circles away and we're back to standing. Silver gets caught napping as Ribbler dives in and scores a takedown. Silver manages to retain guard. Ribbler prevents Silver from getting back to his feet. Ribbler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silver wants to stand and escape but Ribbler is having none of it. Silver preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ribbler missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ribbler gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Ribbler tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silver defends well and Ribbler ends up having to push Silver into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Silver swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Ribbler slips a jab and a cross from Silver.
Silver lands a head shot.
It looks like Eddie Ribbler has been cut. Silver throws a right hand that misses
letting Ribbler counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ribbler moves away from the strike by Silver. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ribbler fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ribbler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silver. Ribbler fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ribbler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silver circles away. That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribbler on the wrong end of a nice jab. Silver throws a hook but Ribbler blocks it. Ribbler shoots in for a takedown but Silver shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ribbler's coach down at Fenrir MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ribbler's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Silver misses with a looping left. It seemed like Ribbler was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Silver feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ribbler sprawling to the canvas! Ribbler rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Silver finish him?!
Ribbler is rocked! A big right from Silver misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ribbler moves out of range of the strikes. Nice sprawl there from Silver as Ribbler shoots in. A looping hook to the body misses from Silver. Ribbler does a little dance to reset his feet. Ribbler fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Ribbler. A jab from Silver misses. Ribbler goes for a double leg but Silver avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Silver continues to drive forward. Ribbler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silver is fending him off so far but Ribbler persists. Nope, Silver circles away and we're back to standing. Silver cracks Ribbler with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ribbler looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Silver finish him?

That has opened up Eddie Ribbler's cut even more. Ribbler closes the distance and clinches up with Silver, looking for a takedown. Ribbler pushes Silver against the cage but Silver circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ribbler seems to have recovered his senses. Silver misses with a straight right. Ribbler fails with the takedown and Silver counters with a big right hand! Oh Ribbler is in trouble here! Silver follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terry Silver! In his post fight interview, Terry Silver started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
