Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Lewis (ranked 24182 p4p, 5228 weight class) and Cameron Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 604 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Lewis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cameron Bright! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lewis swings widly with a right hand
and Bright counters with a straight right hand. No joy there for Lewis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lewis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lewis is breathing heavily. Lewis gets tackled into the cage by Bright. Bright maintains the clinch. Bright is trying to pull guard but Lewis has him pressed against the cage. Bright is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Lewis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bright darts in looking for a takedown but Lewis gets double underhooks and turns Bright into the cage. We've been told by Lewis's head coaches at Cozad MMA New York that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. James Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cameron Bright. Lewis throws a big shot that misses. Bright clinches up against the cage. Bright keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lewis's efforts to push away.

Bright fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bright drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lewis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bright with a lazy takedown attempt and Lewis counters with a nice uppercut. Bright looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lewis is fending him off so far but Bright persists. Lewis appears to be looking for a big counter. Bright rushes Lewis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lewis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bright shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bright tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lewis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bright somewhat. Lewis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And Bright tries to counter it with a takedown but Lewis pushes his down on his head and steps out. Bright moves into the clinch. Bright tries a body shot but Lewis blocks it.
Bright is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lewis pulls him back up using the underhooks. Bright jumps guard but Lewis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Bright wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lewis has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stalling in the clinch from Bright.

Lewis ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Bright tries to close the distance and clinch but Lewis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lewis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bright moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off. Bright shoots in for a takedown but Lewis shows good takedown defense. Bright tries to clinch up but Lewis circles away and keeps his distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis swings for the body but Bright moves out of range.
Bright closes the distance and clinches. Lewis breaks the clinch.
Lewis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bright tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Lewis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bright rushes Lewis and presses him up against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lewis letting Bright take a breather here. Bright jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lewis walks away with a smile on his face. Bright gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bright takes the fight into the clinch. Lewis throws a punch but it's blocked by Bright. Bright tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lewis just stands there and leans against the cage. Lewis prevents a body shot from Bright. Lewis breaks the clinch.
Bright moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bright tries to break the clinch but Lewis is controlling the position. Bright tries to pull guard but Lewis forces him back to his feet, against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Lewis fails to land.

Bright continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Bright leaning his opponent against the cage. Bright wants to get back to striking at distance but Lewis won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bright stalling in the clinch.
Bright receives a warning from the referee for stalling. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Cameron Bright. Bright fails with the takedown. James Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cameron Bright. Bright moves into the clinch. Bright tries to pull guard but Lewis won't allow it.
Bright has Lewis pressed against the cage, preventing Lewis from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Lewis prevents Bright from breaking the clinch. Lewis managing to block the knees to the body from Bright.

James Lewis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lewis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lewis checks a low kick from Bright. Bright fails to land the takedown. Bright with a lazy takedown attempt and Lewis counters with a stiff right hand. Bright fails in his attempt to clinch. Bright gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bright can't get the takedown.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lewis sizes up Bright with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Bright fails with a takedown attempt from distance. As Bright looks to move away, Lewis throws a big counter combo but Bright just gets out of the way. Bright tries to move into range but Lewis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
James Lewis dominated that second round. That's time! Lewis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Lewis misses with a body shot.
Lewis keeps the fight on the outside. As Bright looks to move away, Lewis throws a big counter combo but Bright just gets out of the way. Bright shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lewis but Lewis pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lewis went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Bright rushes Lewis and presses him up against the cage. Lewis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A telegraphed right hand from Lewis misses the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bright closes the distance and clinches. Lewis keeps control of Bright as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Lewis gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bright.

James Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cameron Bright. Bright moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off. Lewis is looking for a counter combo. Lewis feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Brights jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Lewis with a nice cross. Lewis slaps away a takedown attempt from Bright, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lewis misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lewis keeps the fight on the outside. Bright tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Lewis swings for the body but Bright moves out of range.
Lewis throws a looping overhand right but Bright ducks down to avoid it. James Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bright takes one to the chin there. Bright has Lewis up against the cage in a clinch.
Bright breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bright shoots in but Lewis avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lewis is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Bright shoots in and drives through. Lewis sprawls well. As Bright looks to move away, Lewis throws a big counter combo but Bright just gets out of the way.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis throws a series of punches but Bright moves out of range. Bright drives through and clinches with Lewis against the cage.
Bright gets control of Lewis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bright will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Lewis is fighting to break Bright's control of his arms but Bright is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bright is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lewis wants to stand and escape but instead Bright has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bright is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Bright throws an elbow that misses. Lewis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bright's guard. Nice move by Lewis!
Cameron Bright has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James Lewis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bright trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
And that's the end of the fight! James Lewis showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lewis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
