Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Merton (ranked 6299 p4p, 4947 weight class) and Jack Kerouac (ranked 655 p4p, 576 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Merton throws a head kick but Kerouac moves out of range.
Kerouac changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Kerouac is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Merton.

A looping hook to the body misses from Merton. Kerouac does a little dance to reset his feet.

Merton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kerouac moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A nice side step and Kerouac releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Merton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kerouac throws out the jab.

Kerouac scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Merton wants to sweep but Kerouac has passed to side control!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kerouac creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Merton sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Kerouac connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Merton some visible discomfort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kerouac arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Merton's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Jack Kerouac decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
