Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Bely (ranked 3234 p4p, 5945 weight class) and Premysl Otakar Jr (ranked 466 p4p, 664 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bely misses with the combination.
Bely slips a jab and a cross from Otakar Jr.
Otakar Jr throws a shot from downtown. Bely moves away and avoids it.
Bely throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Otakar Jr.
Otakar Jr looks for a takedown but Bely sprawls well.

Bely lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Otakar Jr sprawling to the canvas. Bely follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Otakar Jr hang on?

It looks like Premysl Otakar Jr has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bely throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Otakar Jr to regain full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bely accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bely throws a strike but Otakar Jr rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bely pushes Otakar Jr off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Bely bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Otakar Jr! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Bely postures up in Otakar Jr's guard and throws a big left but Otakar Jr blocks it.

Otakar Jr has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bely has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Otakar Jr seems to have recovered his senses.
Bely wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Otakar Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bely takes one on the button.
Otakar Jr fails to land with a series of punches.
Otakar Jr tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bely swivels and escapes.
Otakar Jr shoots in for a takedown but Bely shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Viktor Bely has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Premysl Otakar Jr.
Otakar Jr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bely has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Otakar Jr.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bely on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bely tries to get out of the position.
Otakar Jr stops Bely from standing up.

Otakar Jr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Otakar Jr won't allow Bely to get back to his feet.

Bely is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Otakar Jr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bely avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Bely counters with a shoot takedown. Otakar Jr fights it but they end up in guard.
Bely throws an elbow that misses. Otakar Jr uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bely's guard. Nice move by Otakar Jr!

Bely is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bely pushes Otakar Jr off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bely stuffs the takedown attempt from Otakar Jr. Otakar Jr gets slowly back to his feet.
Bely half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Otakar Jr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bely circles away.
Otakar Jr backs away from a small jab... but Bely lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Otakar Jr crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Bely with a spectacular finish!

Viktor Bely spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
