 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamora looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Zamora wanted to stand there but Whoopin had control of the position. Whoopin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Whoopin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Zamora. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Whoopin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Whoopin working for a triangle but Zamora defends it easily.
Whoopin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Zamora is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Whoopin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Zamora's back instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zamora holding both Whoopin 's hands and preventing any damage.
