Rat is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by New york city rat taking pizza home. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Minoari Amida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pizza Rat!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rat shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Amida is trying to defend but Rat finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Rat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amida keeps working.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rat in particular looking to stall.
Rat wants to free his trapped foot but Amida is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Rat wants to control but Amida is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amida wants to get back to full guard.
Rat looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Amida is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The fighters are battling for position here. Amida manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Rat controlling from the top position.
Amida wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amida swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Rat darts in looking for a takedown but Amida gets double underhooks and turns Rat into the cage.
Rat tries to clinch
and Amida counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Rat closes the distance and clinches up with Amida, looking for a takedown. Rat pushes Amida against the cage but Amida circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rat wants to clinch but Amida slips to the side
and Amida counters with a head kick that drops Rat to the mat! Rat scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Rat is rocked!
Rat has his takedown stuffed
and Amida counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Rat off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Amida follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Rat was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Minoari Amida!
Minoari Amida took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
