Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sohrab Bahmanzade (ranked 6518 p4p, 3259 weight class) and Kaapo Westerinen (ranked 735 p4p, 483 weight class). Sohrab Bahmanzade had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westerinen throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bahmanzade.
Westerinen lands a high kick!
Bahmanzade moves out of range of the body kick from Westerinen.
Bahmanzade scores with a sloppy right hand. Westerinen should have avoided that one.
Bahmanzade throws a hook but Westerinen avoids it easily.

Westerinen bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Westerinen lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bahmanzade takes a step back to recover.

Bahmanzade sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Westerinen lands a big head kick that sends Bahmanzade tumbling to the mat! Westerinen takes a step backwards and waves Bahmanzade back to his feet - he wants the finish!

We've been told by Bahmanzade's head coaches at Khabiri Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Westerinen throws a powerful right kick. Bahmanzade tried to block low but the kick was high! Bahmanzade was taken right off of his feet! Westerinen jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
