Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matteo Sanchez (ranked 4237 p4p, 7083 weight class) and Marco Demarco (ranked 476 p4p, 647 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marco Demarco was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looks like Marco Demarco has been cut.
Sanchez has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Panda Sprawl n Brawl in the buildup to the fight.
Demarco tries to land a front kick but Sanchez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sanchez throws a head kick but Demarco moves out of range.
Demarco tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Demarco has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Sanchez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Demarco has time to react.

Sanchez lands a really nice looking cross but Demarco seems unphased.

The fighters circle momentarily. Sanchez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Demarco drives through and clinches with Sanchez against the cage.

Demarco breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sanchez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sanchez's corner calls for a 1-2. Sanchez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The cut above Marco Demarco's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Sanchez cracks Demarco with a hook to the temple - Demarco is on wobbly legs here! Sanchez swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Demarco falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Sanchez wins by TKO!
