Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tank Williams (ranked 4713 p4p, 4684 weight class) and Muk Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 498 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong walks into a stiff left hand from Williams.
Bong swinging wildly here.

Bong darts in looking for a takedown but Williams gets double underhooks and turns Bong into the cage.
Williams shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bong darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bong working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Williams tries to roll over but Bong keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bong tries to pass the half guard into mount. Williams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bong wants to take a breather but Williams is having none of it.

Bong looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Williams is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Williams fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bong avoids it really well and circles away.

Williams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Williams somewhat.
Despite the aggression on Bong's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bong shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bong showed some decent athleticism there.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bong connects with a nice short shot to Williams's temple.

Williams pushes Bong off but Bong dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bong prevents Williams from getting the reversal.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Williams tries to clinch up but Bong circles away and keeps his distance.
Bong displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Williams throws out the jab.

Bong drops down looking for an ankle pick but Williams pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bong tries to land a front kick but Williams steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Williams shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bong sprawls well. Bong wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Bong controlling the positon.
Bong wants to control but Williams is keeping busy.

Williams is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bong is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Williams is trying to break free.
Williams is trying to stand back up.
Williams trying to control but not successfully.
Williams can't escape the position.
Bong biding his time, looking for the opening.
I really don't envy Williams right now.
Williams is working hard here to advance position.
Williams is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Bong.

Muk Bong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bong takes a little break here. Williams wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Williams is pushing Bong's head away, looking to escape. Bong manages to hold on to the position though.

Well Bong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
