Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hannu Karpo (ranked 292 p4p, 233 weight class) and Cletus McDonald (ranked 40 p4p, 32 weight class). McDonald has chosen Merle Haggard - Okie From Muskogee as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald throws a shot to the body.
McDonald ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McDonald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Karpo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Karpo is looking to counter punch.
Karpo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McDonald to the ground. Karpo is now in McDonald 's guard.
Karpo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Karpo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

McDonald is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
McDonald is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

McDonald wants to pass to mount but Karpo is defending the position.

McDonald is working Karpo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

McDonald postures up in Karpo's guard and throws a big left but Karpo blocks it.

McDonald postures up and lands a big shot to Karpo's brow.

McDonald throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Karpo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Karpo has momentary wrist control but McDonald slips an elbow through the middle.

McDonald working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
McDonald is thwarting Karpo's attempts to control the position.
Karpo is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at FF Forever, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Hannu Karpo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
Cletus McDonald spoke after the fight, saying 'A country boy can survive'.
