Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pete Sproles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soul Crew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sproles comes to the cage accompanied by can't be touched -Roy Jones Jr. Crew has chosen blebird as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Soul Crew enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Pete Sproles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Soul Crew! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crew bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sproles's head backwards. Sproles blocks a jab. Some wild striking there from Sproles.
Crew works Sproles's body with a nice hook. No joy there for Sproles, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Crew works the jab nicely. A shot to de liver by Crew. Beautiful body shot. Crew misses with the combination.
Sproles misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sproles wants to clinch up but Crew keeps it at a distance. Pete Sproles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crew shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Sproles is looking to improve his position.
Crew slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crew is trying to control the action in half guard but Sproles is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sproles trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sproles manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Crew won't allow Sproles to sweep him here. Sproles looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Crew puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Crew wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sproles keeps working. Crew is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Crew looks to land a strike but Sproles avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Crew throws a strike but Sproles rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crew escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sproles gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sproles passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Sproles is just content to waste time from the top position. Crew takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Sproles sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Crew's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Well, if Sproles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sproles is trying to control the action in half guard but Crew is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Crew wants to get back to full guard. Sproles is taking a breather. Crew says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Sproles is pressing down on Crew's thigh, looking to free his foot. Crew is holding on for now. Crew wants to improve his position but Sproles is controlling well.
Crew actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sproles misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Crew.
Sproles is looking to land body kicks. Sproles throws a hook but Crew blocks it. Sproles throws a right and a left that both miss. Sproles falls off balance throwing a combination
and Crew counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Crew is working for a kimura but Sproles is defending it quite comfortably.
Crew wants to pass to mount but Sproles is defending the position. Sproles is looking to control Crew's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sproles avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Soul Crew dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sproles throws a combination that misses and Crew counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Sproles throws a hook but Crew blocks it. Crew looks to land a right hand but Sproles moved out of range. Crew blocks a head kick by Sproles.
Pete Sproles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sproles tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crew was well out of range. Poor timing from Sproles. Crew has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Soul Crew has been cut. Crew throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sproles tries to clinch but fails miserably and Crew counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Crew. Sproles breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sproles missing with a left hand there. Crew was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Crew paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Sproles misses with an uppercut. Sproles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Crew avoids the head kick by Sproles.
Crew lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Sproles throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Crew counters with a nice uppercut. Crew keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sproles. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sproles swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sproles tries to clinch up and Crew counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sproles throws out a loose jab but Crew uses good head movement to avoid it. Sproles throws a head kick but Crew moves out of range.
Crew shoots for a double leg takedown but Sproles sprawls well. He's pushed Crew's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sproles throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Crew counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sproles tries a head kick but it misses.
Crew works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Sproles misses with a combination
and Crew counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Crew controlling the action here. Let's hope that Crew has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crew stands up and beckons Sproles to join him on the feet. Sproles throws a right and a left that both miss. Sproles throws a left and a right that both miss
and Crew counters with a single leg into guard. Sproles didn't expect that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sproles looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Crew pushes down on Sproles's leg and manages to get into half guard. Sproles is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Crew jumps into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crew throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Sproles is looking for a sweep. Crew is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sproles has escaped the position, nice work there. Crew misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Sproles on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Crew throwing strikes but Sproles manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Sproles decides to stand up, so the ref orders Crew to his feet. Pete Sproles is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sproles looks to clinch and Crew counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Crew staying out of range there. Sproles throws a hook to the side of Crew's head but Crew sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Crew circles away from the clinch attempt and Crew counters with an inside leg kick. Crew wants to clinch. Sproles misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sproles throws a left and a right that both miss
and Crew counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sproles lands with a kick to the temple. Crew shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sproles tries to clinch up and Crew counters with a nice leg kick. Sproles waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Crew. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Soul Crew showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Soul Crew's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Sproles throws a lazy head kick letting Crew counter with a right hand. Sproles moves into range and clinches up with Crew. Sproles breaks from the clinch.
Crew tries to clinch up. Crew feints and as Sproles raises his hands in defense, Crew changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Crew trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sproles wants to sweep here but Crew controlling him for the moment. Crew has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Crew pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sproles is keeping the position for now. Crew throwing strikes but missing. Sproles is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crew accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sproles lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Crew! Soul Crew has got the better of the ground game so far. Crew working to try and regain half guard.
Crew takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sproles looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Crew sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Crew gets full guard. Sproles wants to stand but Crew is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crew wants to sweep but no luck. Crew working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Sproles has passed into half guard!
Sproles content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Crew is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sproles is keen to just control but Crew is a slippery customer. Sproles trying to pass the guard but Crew defending well. Crew is staying active underneath Sproles, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Crew wants to get back to full guard. Sproles blocks the strikes from Crew.
Ground and pound from Sproles. Crew wants to improve his position but Sproles is controlling well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Crew feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sproles wants to get back to his feet but Crew is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! Soul Crew comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Crew winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
