The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ishimura throws a hook to the side of Baker's head but Baker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Baker crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ishimura - the referee stops the clock and Baker gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ishimura. Baker manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Baker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ishimura moves away.

Ishimura tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Baker counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Ishimura onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.

Ishimura takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
