Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grover Montoya (ranked 3435 p4p, 3066 weight class) and Jose Galvao (ranked 498 p4p, 454 weight class). Galvao is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ye - Burna Boy. Jose Galvao has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galvao wants to clinch up but Montoya keeps it at a distance.
Montoya connects with a body shot.
Montoya throws a low kick but Galvao avoids it.
Galvao throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As Galvao backs away, Montoya returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Montoya throws a low kick but it's checked well by Galvao.
Galvao steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Montoya.
Galvao looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Galvao takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Galvao darts in and clinches Montoya up against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Montoya creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Montoya pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Galvao has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Montoya ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Galvao jumps guard and drags Montoya to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Montoya seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Galvao controls Montoya momentarily but Montoya frees himself.
Montoya has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Galvao working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Montoya doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Galvao is tightening it up a little... Montoya has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Montoya reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Montoya taps out! Nice BJJ there by Galvao!
