Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Blessed Barny (ranked 1675 p4p, 699 weight class) and Ed Green (ranked 219 p4p, 89 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green dives in and grabs Barny's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barny pushes down on Green's head and hops out.
No luck for Green with that takedown attempt.
Green misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Green looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Blessed Barny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ed Green.

Green doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Barny counters with a nice double leg into side control. Green won't be happy with that.
Barny works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Green is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Barny's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Barny's back!
Well, with Green on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Barny is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Green stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barny swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Green seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Barny is holding on tight.
Green jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Barny manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Barny tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Green wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Barny's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
I wouldn't like to be where Barny is right now.
Green has an Americana. Barny didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Green is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Green hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ed Green! Ed Green retains his lightweight title!
In defeat, Blessed Barny stepped up to the mic, saying 'He didnt want to grapple tho'.
