Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marko Kerr (ranked 2993 p4p, 2586 weight class) and Rashid Elkhan (ranked 340 p4p, 293 weight class). Rashid Elkhan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marko Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rashid Elkhan! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elkhan lands the left hand. Elkhan pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kerr appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Elkhan moves into range and connects with a jab. Kerr walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Marko Kerr has been cut. Elkhan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kerr.
Kerr half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Elkhan takes a swing at Kerr's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elkhan scores with a nice right hand.
Elkhan thows a left - swing and a miss! Kerr attempts a counter takedown but Elkhan avoids it well and moves away. A jab from Elkhan misses. Kerr feinted with a counter takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elkhan thuds a left hand into Kerr's body. Elkhan lands a big uppercut and Kerr crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kerr looks OK. Elkhan waves Kerr back to his feet! Elkhan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kerr sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kerr appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Elkhan missing with a left hand there. Kerr was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kerr appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Elkhan throws a body shot but no joy. Kerr attempts a counter takedown but Elkhan avoids it well and moves away. Rashid Elkhan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Elkhan cracks Kerr with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Elkhan misses with a straight left.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elkhan cracks Kerr with a good jab. Kerr moves out of range of the strikes. Kerr ducks under a wild hook from Elkhan. Kerr on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. An inside leg kick from Elkhan misses. Elkhan throws a body punch but Kerr moves out of range. Kerr feinted with a counter takedown. Kerr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elkhan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kerr avoids the body shot from Elkhan.
Kerr tries to counter with a takedown but Elkhan is quick to defend against it. Elkhan thows a left - swing and a miss! Kerr appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Elkhan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Elkhan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Elkhan with a nice cross. Kerr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Elkhan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elkhan lands a right hook to the body.
Elkhan cracks Kerr with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kerr looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Elkhan finish him?
Kerr is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Elkhan sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Kerr's defenses. It connects perfectly with Kerr's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rashid Elkhan!
