The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perseu has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Perseu there as he acknowledges the shot.
Clause lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Clause defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Perseu.

Perseu goes for a double leg but Clause avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Clause continues to drive forward.

Perseu is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Clause has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Perseu is proving hard to escape from.
Perseu wants to get back to his feet but Clause is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Perseu trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perseu pushes down on Clause's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Perseu winds up and cracks Clause with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perseu passes the guard and advances to mount!

Perseu is landing with some decent strikes but Clause is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Perseu cracks Clause with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

A big strike lands for Perseu! That's really hurt Clause and he's turned his back - Perseu keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Perseu jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
