Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael MP (ranked 3378 p4p, 1319 weight class) and Carlos Ruas (ranked 127 p4p, 61 weight class). Michael MP had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 24 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael MP! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 22 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Ruas! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MP scores with a takedown into Ruas's guard. Ruas wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and MP manages to pass to side control. Ruas wants to get back to full guard. MP working the head and body with strikes. Ruas is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MP throwing shots but Ruas is blocking nicely. Ruas tries to get to full guard but MP has control of the leg. MP is just content to waste time from the top position. Ruas takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas managing to control the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as MP accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ruas wants to sweep but no luck. MP is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ruas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ruas is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ruas postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. MP working a defensive guard but Ruas manages to pass into side control anyway.
Ruas is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but MP is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ruas is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down MP's shoulder. That is not cool. Ruas is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. MP is trying to escape and Ruas transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and MP is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ruas! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Carlos Ruas! A less than humble Carlos Ruas misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities. In defeat, Michael MP stepped up to the mic, saying 'shoutout to Sydney Fight Gear. They supported me throughout the harsh days. I will be back. and smash everybody in this weight division. and also come back as champion.'.
