Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Kogos (ranked 3803 p4p, 2665 weight class) and Gustaw Babiakski (ranked 71 p4p, 106 weight class). Babiakski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cypis - Gdzie jest biały węgorz?. Gustaw Babiakski will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Kogos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gustaw Babiakski! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kogos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Babiakski was well out of range. Poor timing from Kogos. Kogos looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kogos shoots in but Babiakski avoids the takedown attempt easily. Babiakski swinging wildly here.
Kogos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Babiakski looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Babiakski lands the left hand.
It looks like Paulo Kogos has been cut. A big left from Babiakski misses. Babiakski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Babiakski wants it to stay on the feet. Babiakski throws a leg kick and Kogos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kogos chips away with some ground and pound. Babiakski has momentary wrist control but Kogos slips an elbow through the middle. Babiakski wants to stand up but Kogos is controlling him. Kogos lands a couple of digs. Kogos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kogos distracts Babiakski with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kogos lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kogos working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kogos trying to control but Babiakski is working from the bottom. Kogos prevents Babiakski from getting back to his feet. Babiakski pushes Kogos off and gets back to his feet.

and Kogos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Babiakski's guard. Babiakski pushes Kogos off and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! Babiakski swings for the body but Kogos moves out of range.
Babiakski takes a swing at Kogos's ribcage but misses. Kogos scores with a jab to the body. Kogos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Babiakski is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kogos with a body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Kogos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kogos keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Babiakski.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kogos throws a predictable looking body shot
and Babiakski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Babiakski misses with a hook
so Kogos counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Babiakski wants to stand and escape but Kogos is having none of it. Kogos landing some decent shots from guard. Babiakski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kogos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Babiakski wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kogos manages to pass to side control. Kogos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kogos wants to control but Babiakski is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Babiakski is trying to stand back up but Kogos is controlling him
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kogos connects with a nice short shot to Babiakski's temple. Ground and pound from Kogos. Well, if Kogos is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Babiakski makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Babiakski misses with a straight left. Babiakski on the wrong end of a nice hook. Babiakski leaves Kogos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Babiakski misses with a looping left. Babiakski closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kogos fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kogos is looking to wear down Babiakski with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kogos slips under a jab. Kogos ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kogos takes a shot to the body in his stride.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kogos looks to score with a jab to the body but Babiakski is just out of range. Babiakski staying out of range there. Kogos lands a slapping body shot.
Kogos misses with an uppercut. Kogos moves out of range as Babiakski strikes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kogos. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Babiakski! But no joy. Kogos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kogos slips under a jab from Babiakski. Babiakski throws a one two combo.
Babiakski misses with a right hand and Kogos counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kogos's corner. There ya go! There ya go! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Babiakski can do anything to dispel that myth. Kogos chips away with some ground and pound. Kogos content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Babiakski is looking to stand up but Kogos isn't so interested in that idea. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Paulo Kogos will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Paulo Kogos's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Babiakski takes a swing at Kogos's ribcage but misses. Kogos bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kogos throws a series of punches but Babiakski moves out of range. A slow jab from Babiakski misses its intended target. Kogos takes a swing at Babiakski's ribcage but misses. Good standup being displayed there by Babiakski as he connects with a hook. Babiakski throws out a loose jab but Kogos uses good head movement to avoid it. Babiakski throws a jab when Kogos was well out of range. A counter left hand to the body from Kogos misses its target. Babiakski misses with an uppercut. Kogos saw that one coming. Kogos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Babiakski was well out of range. Poor timing from Kogos. Babiakski appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. A shot to the liver by Kogos. Beautiful body shot. Babiakski takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Babiakski ducks under a wild hook from Kogos. Kogos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Babiakski moves away. Babiakski throws a body punch but Kogos moves out of range. Babiakski goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Babiakski throws a leg kick that is checked and Kogos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kogos passes Babiakski's left leg - he's now in half guard. Kogos prevents Babiakski from standing back up.
Kogos lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Babiakski pushes Kogos off looking to stand but Kogos dives back in and keeps control.
Babiakski scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Kogos manages to mount him!
Kogos sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kogos pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Kogos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Babiakski can do to turn this around? Kogos cracks Babiakski with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kogos has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Babiakski's face.
Babiakski is rocked! Kogos softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Babiakski is out cold! Kogos jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paulo Kogos!
