Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Judah (ranked 6141 p4p, 1907 weight class) and Glass Joe (ranked 308 p4p, 117 weight class). Joe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by La Marseillaise. Elijah Judah had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elijah Judah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Glass Joe!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe jabs Judah to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Joe scores with a one two! Judah had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Glass Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joe scores with a jab to the body.

Joe has closed the distance and engaged Judah in a clinch.
Joe tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Joe makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Judah pulls Joe into guard.
Joe wants to stand but Judah has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Joe stands up from Judah's guard - Joe perhaps looking for a knockout.

Judah changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Judah drops down looking for a counter takedown but Joe sprawls and moves away.

Joe scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Joe throws a right hand that Judah ducks under and follows up with a left that Judah also avoids with ease.
Joe moves in looking to clinch but Judah pushes him off.

Judah has Joe pressed against the cage, preventing Joe from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

No joy there for Joe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Joe's coach down at EFC Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Joe's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Joe tries to clinch up but Judah circles away and keeps his distance.
Joe is looking to slow Judah down with leg kicks.

Joe throws a push kick but Judah slaps the foot to one side.
Judah attempts a counter takedown but Joe avoids it well and moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Glass Joe dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Joe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Judah changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Elijah Judah is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Joe throws an off balance right hand

and Judah counters with a single leg into guard. Joe didn't expect that.

Joe has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Judah off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Joe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Judah manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Well Joe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
