PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kree P Krawlee (ranked 983 p4p, 888 weight class) and Friedrich August Von Hayek (ranked 133 p4p, 110 weight class). Krawlee comes to the cage accompanied by Sail. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kree P Krawlee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Friedrich August Von Hayek!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krawlee avoids the body shot from Von Hayek.
Von Hayek works Krawlee's body with a nice hook.
Von Hayek takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Von Hayek thuds a left hand into Krawlee's body.
Krawlee misses with a hook to the body
and Von Hayek counters with a straight right hand.
Krawlee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Von Hayek counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Von Hayek defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Krawlee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Von Hayek wants to clinch up but Krawlee keeps it at a distance.
Krawlee blocks a low kick nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Krawlee. Von Hayek does a little dance to reset his feet.
Von Hayek throws out a loose jab but Krawlee uses good head movement to avoid it.

Krawlee feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Von Hayek wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Von Hayek has his foot on Krawlee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Krawlee works his way back into a safe position though.

Von Hayek wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Von Hayek looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Krawlee puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Krawlee pushes down on Von Hayek's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Krawlee frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Krawlee is looking to work his way around to Von Hayek's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Krawlee has hold of Von Hayek's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Von Hayek manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Von Hayek felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Von Hayek is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Von Hayek trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Von Hayek is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Krawlee gets his way!
Von Hayek is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Krawlee off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Krawlee is working for a rear naked choke. Von Hayek is not defending it well and Krawlee has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Von Hayek refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Von Hayek's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kree P Krawlee!
A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Kree P Krawlee made sure he mentioned Ma Balls Is Hot Clothing, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
