Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Eagle!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack McGregson!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eagle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

McGregson looking for subs off his back but Eagle has passed one foot through into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eagle is working for a kimura but McGregson is defending it quite comfortably.

McGregson looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Eagle winds up and cracks McGregson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eagle seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Eagle is nestled in close to McGregson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Eagle is looking to take a break and control but McGregson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McGregson has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at EFC Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Eagle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McGregson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

McGregson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Eagle scores with a couple of nice shots.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Eagle connects with a nice short shot to McGregson's temple.
Eagle is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Eagle scores with a big shot! McGregson's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save McGregson! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
