Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sauli Kekkonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 39 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jenik Krejza!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krejza throws a series of punches but Kekkonen avoids them all with ease.
A little feinted left hand from Kekkonen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Krejza wants to clinch.
Kekkonen was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Kekkonen scores with a hook.

It looks like Jenik Krejza has been cut.
Krejza fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Krejza throws a leg kick

and Kekkonen counters with a shoot takedown. Krejza fights it but they end up in guard.
Kekkonen lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kekkonen connects with a couple of short punches.
Kekkonen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Kekkonen chips away with some ground and pound.
Krejza can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kekkonen controls the pace.

Kekkonen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Kekkonen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kekkonen staying calm.
Check out the look on Kekkonen's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kekkonen slows the pace down.
Krejza is trying to get back to his feet.
Krejza is trying to control Kekkonen's posture but Kekkonen avoids it.
Kekkonen works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Kekkonen lands a few punches from side control.
A lull in the action here.
Kekkonen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kekkonen continues to stall.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Krejza takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Kekkonen takes a little break here. Krejza wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Kekkonen lands a few punches from side control.
Krejza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kekkonen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kekkonen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Kekkonen cracks Krejza with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Krejza being controlled for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sauli Kekkonen dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jenik Krejza's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

A shot to the body from Krejza misses
and Kekkonen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kekkonen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Krejza.
Kekkonen's jab looks to have found its range, popping Krejza under the eye.
Kekkonen drops Krejza with a big left hand! Krejza is injured, injured bad! Kekkonen jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Sauli Kekkonen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
