Petrov closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Petrov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Petrov takes a swing at Hughes's ribcage but misses.
Sirus Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petrov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hughes shoots in for a double leg but Petrov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Despite the aggression on Petrov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Hughes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Petrov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hughes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Petrov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hughes is aware though and is defending well.
Petrov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hughes defends well.

Hughes prevents Petrov from getting back to his feet.
Petrov throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hughes uses it to pass to side control.

Petrov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hughes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hughes is trying for a kimura here. Petrov looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Hughes wins by kimura!
