Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muk Bong (ranked 3773 p4p, 4656 weight class) and LeBron Alvarez (ranked 422 p4p, 0 weight class). Muk Bong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Muk Bong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, LeBron Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bong gets a double leg takedown into Alvarez's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bong wants to stand but Alvarez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Bong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alvarez is keeping the position for now.
Alvarez looking to control.
Bong controlling from the top position.
We've been hearing that Bong has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Alvarez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bong controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bong won't allow Alvarez to sweep him here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Alvarez is trying to control the position but Bong postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Bong forces Alvarez back against the cage and clinches.
Bong tries a body shot but Alvarez blocks it.
Bong tries to pull guard but Alvarez holds him up against the cage and eventually Bong drops back down to his feet.
Bong is breathing heavily.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Bong.

Bong decides to pull guard.
Bong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alvarez is controlling him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alvarez trying to control the position from guard on top but Bong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alvarez postures up.
Alvarez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Alvarez wants to control from the top but Bong keeps moving.
Bong wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Bong keeping moving, preventing Alvarez from controlling successfully.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Alvarez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bong throws out the jab.

Bong looking to score a takedown here. Alvarez is defending well but Bong drives through and ends up in Alvarez's guard.
Bong wants to control from the top but Alvarez keeps moving.
Bong working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Alvarez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bong showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Bong is working Alvarez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Alvarez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alvarez looking for a guillotine here but Bong defends easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Bong clinches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Muk Bong dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Alvarez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bong thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Alvarez trying to control the position from guard on top but Bong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bong might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bong wants to stand and escape but Alvarez is having none of it.
Alvarez stopping the sweep attempt from Bong.
Bong wants to get back to his feet but Alvarez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bong on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bong tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvarez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alvarez can do to turn this around?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Alvarez with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Bong keeping moving, preventing Alvarez from controlling successfully.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Muk Bong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bong enables Alvarez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Alvarez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Alvarez is looking to stand up but Bong won't let him.

Alvarez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Bong has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Alvarez is looking to defend but Bong has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Alvarez! Bong pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Alvarez taps out and this one is all over!
