Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klaas Du Toit (ranked 5180 p4p, 4928 weight class) and Erik Schmitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmitt throws a sloppy head kick and Du Toit moves out of range easily.

enabling Schmitt to counter with a crisp jab.

Du Toit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schmitt's waist but Schmitt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Du Toit off to one side.
Du Toit swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Schmitt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Du Toit sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Schmitt somewhat.

Schmitt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Du Toit tries to avoid it but Schmitt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Du Toit to the ground. Du Toit escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
