Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hou Shang Lou (ranked 5466 p4p, 5042 weight class) and Chojun Miyagi (ranked 250 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chojun Miyagi!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lou uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Miyagi.
A leg kick checked by Miyagi.
Miyagi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lou manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lou appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Lou throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Miyagi throws a lazy right hand but Lou sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lou keeps the fight on the outside.
Lou misses with a looping right.
Lou tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miyagi was well out of range. Poor timing from Lou.
Lou keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Miyagi checks a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Lou counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Miyagi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Miyagi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Miyagi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Miyagi controls Lou momentarily but Lou frees himself.

Miyagi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Lou passes Miyagi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Miyagi is looking for a sweep. Lou is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lou is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lou wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miyagi keeps working.

Lou wants to control but Miyagi is keeping him busy.

Lou is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Miyagi defends it well.
Lou working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Lou lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Lou goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Miyagi is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lou is breathing heavily.

Lou looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Miyagi passes into side control.
Lou is looking to reverse the position.

Miyagi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lou, who protects the arm well.
Miyagi lands some shots froms side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Miyagi is trying to get an arm triangle but Lou is defending well.
Lou is trying to control Miyagi's posture but Miyagi avoids it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hou Shang Lou dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Miyagi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lou.
Lou tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miyagi was well out of range. Poor timing from Lou.
Lou sets himself, and Miyagi steps forward looking for the clinch! Lou avoids it this time.
Lou fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Miyagi manages to avoid it.
Miyagi tries to land a leg kick but Lou saw it coming and moves away.

Miyagi tries to keep at a distance but Lou has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lou manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lou bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Lou drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lou wants to control from the top but Miyagi keeps moving.
Miyagi looking for a sweep. Not yet Miyagi, not yet.

Miyagi keeping moving, preventing Lou from controlling successfully.

Lou tries to free his leg and advance position but Miyagi is retaining full guard.
Lou trying to control the position from guard on top but Miyagi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Miyagi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lou trying to control but Miyagi is working from the bottom.

Miyagi throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lou uses it to pass to side control.
Lou is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Miyagi can do to turn this around?
Lou is working Miyagi over with some ground and pound from side control.
Lou tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hou Shang Lou overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lou looks up at the clock and then as Miyagi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lou smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Miyagi is looking to reverse the position.
Lou is looking to take a break and control but Miyagi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Miyagi is trying to improve his position.
Lou working the ground and pound from side control.
Miyagi tries to bench press Lou off him but Lou keeps the position.
Lou tries to move into full mount but can't pass Miyagi's legs.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Miyagi sneaks back into half guard.
Miyagi is looking to improve his position.
Miyagi is pressing down on Lou's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lou forces his way into half guard.
Lou is pressing down on Miyagi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Miyagi is holding on for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lou working over Miyagi with some ground and pound. Miyagi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Miyagi gets full guard.

Miyagi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lou.
Lou throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lou closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Miyagi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lou pulls his head out easily.
Lou works his foot free and advances to mount.
Miyagi is in all sorts of trouble here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lou looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Lou in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Miyagi is looking to improve his position but Lou isn't that keen on the idea.

Lou has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Miyagi is forced to tap!
