Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drew Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Spencer!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spencer.
Spencer thumps Taylor with a low kick.
Spencer jabs Taylor to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Taylor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Spencer scores with a leg kick.
Taylor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spencer was covering up waiting for the punch and Taylor finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Taylor prevents Spencer from getting back to his feet.

Spencer is looking to stand up but Taylor isn't so interested in that idea.

Taylor won't allow Spencer to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Spencer is looking to slow Taylor down with leg kicks.
Taylor fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Spencer avoids it really well and circles away.
Spencer thuds his right hand into Taylor's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Drew Taylor has been cut.
Spencer cracks Taylor with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Taylor looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Spencer finish him?
Taylor is rocked!
Spencer goes for a small jab and connects. Now Spencer goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Taylor stumbles back but Spencer runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Taylor to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Taylor will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sam Spencer!
Sam Spencer decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
