PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adolf Hitler (ranked 4587 p4p, 5948 weight class) and Dustin Cruz (ranked 500 p4p, 563 weight class). Hitler comes into the arena with Russian Dancing Men blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dustin Cruz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz fails to land the takedown.
Cruz blocks a leg kick.
Hitler throws a head kick that Cruz semi-blocks.
Hitler looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Cruz looks to land a combination but Hitler avoids it well.

Cruz shoots in for a double leg but Hitler sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hitler does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Hitler will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch but Hitler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cruz throws a nice looking combination but Hitler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Cruz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hitler tries to avoid it but Cruz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hitler to the ground. Hitler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cruz moves into range and clinches up with Hitler.

Cruz throws a series of punches but Hitler avoids them all with ease.
Cruz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hitler.
A bone on bone clash there as Cruz blocks the leg kick.

Hitler finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hitler throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Hitler punishes Cruz's body with a nice straight punch.
Hitler throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cruz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hitler - the referee stops the clock and Cruz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hitler. Cruz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Cruz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hitler pinned against the cage. Hitler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cruz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hitler sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hitler stuns Cruz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cruz checks a leg kick.

Cruz shoots for a double leg takedown but Hitler sprawls well. He's pushed Cruz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cruz lands with a straight right. Hitler didn't see that one coming.

Hitler lands a leg kick that knocks Cruz off balance momentarily.
Hitler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cruz can do to turn this around?

and Cruz counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Hitler falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
