The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pryor jabs Rude right on the nose. Rude blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Dude Rude has been cut.
Pryor lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rude takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Pryor has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Razor Sharp Training Systems in the buildup to the fight.
Rude looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Pryor connects with an inside leg kick.

Pryor lands a big uppercut and Rude crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rude looks OK. Pryor waves Rude back to his feet!

Rude is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rude takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rude is still on wobbly legs! Can Pryor finish him?

Pryor closes the distance and clinches.
Pryor tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Rude is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pryor is defending well for now.

Rude has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Pryor creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Rude's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Rude drops to his knees and Pryor pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

In his post fight interview, Richard Pryor started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
