Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rico Salvacion (ranked 24506 p4p, 7121 weight class) and Makebono Bowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 44 - 112 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Makebono Bowen! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bowen darts in trying to clinch and Salvacion finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Bowen wants to clinch but Salvacion slips to the side and Salvacion counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Makebono Bowen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bowen misses with a right hand and Salvacion counters with a body kick that stops Bowen in his tracks momentarily. Bowen closes the distance but Salvacion moves to the side and Salvacion counters with a body kick. Bowen wants to clinch but Salvacion slips to the side and Salvacion counters with a solid body kick. Bowen looks winded! Salvacion looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Bowen wants to stand back up but Salvacion manages to pass into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Salvacion content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion has knee on belly and moves into mount. Salvacion landing strikes from the mount. Salvacion lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Salvacion lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bowen hang on? Salvacion controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Bowen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Salvacion controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Salvacion breaks from Bowen's wrist control and lands an elbow.
It looks like Makebono Bowen has been cut. Salvacion sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salvacion raining down hammerfists from mount. Salvacion controlling from the full mount. Salvacion seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bowen for as long as he can get away with. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Salvacion scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Bowen?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Salvacion dominated that round. The cut man is working on Makebono Bowen's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Salvacion trying to control the pace. Nice strikes from Salvacion there. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Salvacion in particular looking to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rico Salvacion overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Salvacion. Bowen is breathing heavily. Bowen is trying to escape back to his feet but Salvacion uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Bowen tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Salvacion takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Salvacion working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Bowen turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Salvacion off and cradles Bowen's limp body as Salvacion celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rico Salvacion!
