Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Son Of Dan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Trevor Philips! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dan tries to clinch up and Philips counters with a nice uppercut. Dan misses with a looping right. Philips has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Dan closes the distance looking to clinch and Philips connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dan misses with a left hand and Philips counters with a stiff right hand. Philips circles away from the clinch attempt.
Philips looks like he wants to counter punch here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dan tries to close the distance and clinch but Philips swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Despite the aggression on Philips's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Son Of Dan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dan fails with an attempt to clinch.
