Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balin Trollslayer (ranked 870 p4p, 1501 weight class) and Andrey Karaev (ranked 119 p4p, 189 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Balin Trollslayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andrey Karaev!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trollslayer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Karaev sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Karaev is looking to control Trollslayer's arms but Trollslayer gets an underhook and turns him. Now Karaev has his back to the cage.
Karaev lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Trollslayer has Karaev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Karaev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Karaev is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Balin Trollslayer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trollslayer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Karaev is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Trollslayer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Karaev sprawls well initially but Trollslayer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Karaev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trollslayer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Trollslayer winds up and cracks Karaev with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Karaev tries to roll over but Trollslayer keeps him under control.

Sloppy strikes from Karaev. Those never looked like landing.
Karaev throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Trollslayer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Trollslayer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Karaev can do to turn this around?

Karaev breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Karaev connects with a body shot that sends Trollslayer's belly button to the back.

Karaev lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Trollslayer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Karaev as he jumps to the side.
Balin Trollslayer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karaev lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Karaev tries to keep at a distance but Trollslayer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Trollslayer changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Karaev fights it off and pushes away nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Karaev lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Andrey Karaev has been cut.

Karaev takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Trollslayer's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
