Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Harera (ranked 3771 p4p, 5990 weight class) and Dennis Casanova (ranked 460 p4p, 588 weight class). Dennis Casanova will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Harera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dennis Casanova!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casanova takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Casanova lands with a cross.
Harera uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Casanova.
Casanova comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Casanova's coach down at Mapinguari Guerreiro was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Casanova's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Casanova tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Harera doesn't manage to clinch there - Casanova circles away.
Casanova scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Harera could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Harera pushes Casanova up against the cage in a clinch.
I was talking to Harera's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Casanova just leaning against Harera, taking a breather.
Harera drags the fight down to the ground.
Casanova throwing strikes but missing.

Casanova won't allow Harera to sweep him here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Harera throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Casanova prevents Harera from getting back to his feet.
Casanova sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Casanova must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Harera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Casanova moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
A head kick from Harera lands but Casanova takes it in his stride.
Harera thows a leg kick but Casanova checks it
and Casanova counters with a nice uppercut.
Casanova throws a body punch but Harera moves out of range.
Harera bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Casanova scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harera doesn't seem bothered though.
Casanova jabs at Harera's body.
Casanova lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Harera shoots in looking for a takedown. Casanova tries to sprawl out of it but Harera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Casanova manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Casanova bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Harera's head backwards.
Harera throws a sloppy head kick and Casanova moves out of range easily.
Harera has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Casanova finds it's way round the side to connect with Harera's head.
Casanova lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Harera avoids the body shot from Casanova.
Dennis Casanova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good exchange - Casanova coming out on top.
Harera is rocked!
Casanova drops Harera with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Harera! Casanova dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dennis Casanova!
