The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jookiba dives in and grabs Freibergs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Freibergs pushes down on Jookiba's head and hops out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Freibergs decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jookiba to his feet.

Freibergs shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Freibergs was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jookiba makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jookiba.

Freibergs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jookiba with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Freibergs wants to control but Jookiba is keeping him busy.
Freibergs seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Freibergs is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jookiba is surviving well by controlling Freibergs's body position as best he can.
