Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Martin Ferris (ranked 6079 p4p, 7117 weight class) and Brandon Fisher (ranked 716 p4p, 787 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Ferris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher throws out a loose jab but Ferris uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ferris wants to land a leg kick but Fisher is out of range.
Fisher uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ferris.
Ferris avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ferris misses with a straight left.
Fisher is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ferris swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Fisher tries to land a front kick but Ferris steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ferris has been working on his boxing with his coaches at whitey's gym in the buildup to the fight.
Ferris takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Fisher paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Brandon Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fisher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ferris manages to avoid it.
Fisher sizes up Ferris with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ferris swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ferris tries to clinch but Fisher is having none of it.
Fisher feints a counter leg kick.
Fisher scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ferris in his tracks.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Ferris counters with a right hand to the body.

Fisher swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It looked like Ferris was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Fisher lunges at Ferris with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ferris's hand.
Ferris looks to land a right hand but Fisher moved out of range.
Fisher explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Fisher lands a body shot.
Ferris takes a swing at Fisher's ribcage but misses.
Fisher lands a jab.
Ferris throws a jab when Fisher was well out of range.
Fisher swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Fisher jabs Ferris to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Fisher swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ferris digs a good hook to Fisher's body.
Fisher shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
As Fisher backs away, Ferris returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Fisher uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ferris.
Ferris takes one on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fisher misses with a kick to the body.
Fisher looks to throw the jab but Ferris is out of range.
As Fisher backs away, Ferris returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

A low kick from Ferris is predictable there
and Fisher counters with a left and a right that stings Ferris.

Ferris is rocked!
Ferris shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Oh Ferris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Ferris counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fisher tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Fisher scores with a jab.
Fisher has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Fisher cracks Ferris with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ferris tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Fisher pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ferris is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Fisher!
A very excited looking Brandon Fisher made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
