Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Turn (ranked 4736 p4p, 6476 weight class) and Paul Vinazen (ranked 528 p4p, 622 weight class). Vinazen has chosen Scary Mask as his entrance music. Ray Turn has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Turn !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paul Vinazen!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinazen connects with a crisp jab.
Paul Vinazen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vinazen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A left lands for Vinazen.

It looks like Ray Turn has been cut.

Turn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Turn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vinazen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Turn trying to control the position from guard on top but Vinazen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Turn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Turn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Vinazen has Turn pulled in close to control his posture.
Turn throws a big right hand that misses.
Turn is in close to Vinazen's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Vinazen keeping full guard, as Turn tries to pass.
Turn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Turn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Turn is looking to work some ground and pound but Vinazen has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Turn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Turn advances position into side control!

Turn decides to stand up, so the ref orders Vinazen to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Vinazen enables Turn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vinazen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Turn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Turn trying to control the position from guard on top but Vinazen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Turn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vinazen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turn postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Turn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Turn wants to control from the top but Vinazen keeps moving.
Turn forces his way into half guard.
Vinazen is refusing to be controlled, as Turn sits in half guard.

Turn is working for a submission of some sort.

Turn seems to be working for a kimura but Vinazen defends the submission attempt.

Turn is working for a kimura but Vinazen is defending it quite comfortably.

Turn not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Turn controlling the action here.
Turn is just content to waste time from the top position. Vinazen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Turn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vinazen is keeping the position for now.
Turn is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Turn trying to control but Vinazen is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Turn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Turn trying to control the position from guard on top but Vinazen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Turn is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Vinazen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Turn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Turn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Turn passes Vinazen's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Turn seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Turn shoots in for a double leg but Vinazen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Turn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vinazen manages to avoid it.
Vinazen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Turn misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vinazen.
Vinazen scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Vinazen ducks under a wild hook from Turn .
Vinazen is looking for the big counter here.
Vinazen looks to land a right hand but Turn moved out of range.
Jab by Vinazen.
Turn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vinazen but Vinazen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Vinazen connects with a right hand. Turn shakes it off.
Vinazen cracks Turn with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Ray Turn 's cut is getting worse.
Vinazen connects with a looping right hand.
Vinazen throws a monster overhand right that drops Turn ! Vinazen follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Vinazen!
A relieved looking Paul Vinazen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
