Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and FAUSTO HAITI (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Phoenix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, FAUSTO HAITI! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! HAITI fails in his attempt to clinch. HAITI goes for a high kick. It partially lands. HAITI keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. HAITI tries to clinch but Phoenix moves out of range. HAITI is looking to clinch. HAITI scores with a head kick.
Phoenix misses with a takedown attempt - HAITI sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. John Phoenix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. HAITI avoids a punch combination nicely.
HAITI tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nice sprawl there from HAITI as Phoenix shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Phoenix. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck for Phoenix with that takedown attempt. Phoenix shoots in and drives through. HAITI sprawls well. Phoenix shoots in for a takedown but HAITI shows good takedown defense. HAITI moves into range and clinches up with Phoenix. HAITI landing some nice looking knees to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Phoenix tries to pull guard but HAITI holds him up against the cage and eventually Phoenix drops back down to his feet.
Phoenix is looking for a takedown up against the cage. HAITI gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. HAITI gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Phoenix lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phoenix looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Phoenix is breathing heavily. HAITI wants to stand but Phoenix has a closed guard, so he can't escape. HAITI showing good wrestling skills to control the position. HAITI sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Phoenix's guard. HAITI trying to pass the guard but Phoenix defending well. HAITI wants to lay and pray for a moment but Phoenix keeps working. HAITI controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Phoenix is looking to improve his position.

Phoenix is trying desperately to improve position. HAITI is landing with some decent strikes but Phoenix is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's three minutes gone in the round. HAITI can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Phoenix is looking to escape. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. HAITI thowing shots but they're missing. Phoenix is squirming around, avoiding HAITI's attempts to control the action. Phoenix is desperately trying to improve his position but HAITI has a good base and remains in mount. HAITI tries to control but Phoenix wriggling away. HAITI is standing up, even though he is in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Phoenix avoids the head kick by HAITI.
HAITI scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. HAITI stands up. Phoenix closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Phoenix is trying for a kimura here. HAITI looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Phoenix wins by kimura!
