Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Power (ranked 6070 p4p, 3206 weight class) and Obel Ixtlan (ranked 594 p4p, 376 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Obel Ixtlan!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ixtlan thuds a left hand into Power's body.
Power misses with a takedown attempt - Ixtlan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Power tries to keep at a distance but Ixtlan has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ixtlan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ixtlan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Power breaks the clinch.
Ixtlan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Power has his takedown stuffed
and Ixtlan counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ixtlan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Power can pounce on him.
Ixtlan throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Power fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Power. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ixtlan lands with an uppercut that bounces Power off the cage and back into range.
Ixtlan cracks Power with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Power looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ixtlan finish him?
Ixtlan lands a big right hand that sends Power crashing to the mat! Ixtlan stays standing though and waves Power back to his feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ixtlan throws a pinpoint strike between Power's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Power crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Ixtlan scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Obel Ixtlan!
