Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Justin Cook!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ryan avoids the body shot from Cook.

Ryan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ryan scoring with punches to the head and body.
Ryan trying to control the position from guard on top but Cook is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ryan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Cook really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cook looking for a sweep. Not yet Cook, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryan wants to control from the top but Cook keeps moving.
Cook has control of Ryan's left arm, preventing Ryan from doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ryan is looking to work some ground and pound but Cook has wrist control.
Cook keeping moving, preventing Ryan from controlling successfully.
Cook is pulling down on Ryan's head. It's preventing any offense from Ryan, at least for the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ryan shoots in looking for a takedown but Cook manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ryan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ryan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cook scores with a one two! Ryan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Craig Ryan has been cut.

Cook closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cook lands in his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cook tries to free his leg and advance position but Ryan is retaining full guard.
Cook is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Cook has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ryan is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cook has his hands clasped together but Ryan extends and breaks Cook's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ryan.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Craig Ryan!
