Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Franca (ranked 2417 p4p, 2787 weight class) and Sam Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Franca might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Greatest Showman. Sam Spencer has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luiz Franca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Spencer! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spencer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Luiz Franca has been cut. Franca shoots in for a takedown but Spencer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Spencer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Spencer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Franca counters with a nice double leg into guard. Franca works a leg free and moves into half guard. Franca is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Franca is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Spencer defends it well. Spencer told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Franca thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Spencer's head. Franca will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Franca missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Franca is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Spencer sees it coming and defends easily. Franca is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Spencer tries to kick Franca off but Franca keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franca seems to be looking for submissions.
Franca is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Spencer is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
