The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ortega circles away.
Ortega misses with an attempted mid kick.
Parker throws a leg kick but Ortega sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ortega getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Parker swings widly with a right hand
and Ortega finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Parker scores with a hook to the body. Ortega takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Parker wants to clinch.
Parker cracks Ortega with an open hand slap.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ortega scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Peter Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parker takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Ortega lands a huge takedown. Parker is out but the ref is slow to react and Ortega lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Parker lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
