Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Braxton Labatt (ranked 5185 p4p, 24519 weight class) and Fabian Chapelle (ranked 268 p4p, 354 weight class). Labatt comes into the arena with Dierks Bentley - Sideways blaring out of the sound system. Chapelle is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Robert Whittaker. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chapelle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Labatt is controlling Chapelle's posture.
Labatt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chapelle manages to get himself to full guard.

Labatt drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chapelle looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chapelle looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chapelle!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Labatt lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Labatt drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Chapelle manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Labatt has Chapelle in his guard.

Labatt wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Labatt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Labatt has his feet on Chapelle's thighs here. He's pushed Chapelle off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Chapelle screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
