Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doug Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Greg Hammer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Williams does no damage.
Hammer dives in for a single leg takedown but Williams sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hammer's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Williams connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hammer scrambles back to his feet.
Hammer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Williams throws a shot to the body.
No joy there for Williams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Williams fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hammer manages to avoid it.

Williams definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Hammer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Williams is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hammer connects with a decent elbow.
Williams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position.
Williams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hammer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hammer fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Oh Williams is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hammer cracks Williams with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hammer immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Williams is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hammer!
