Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamil Hurst (ranked 2746 p4p, 3428 weight class) and Khableep Noodlemegadov (ranked 377 p4p, 462 weight class). Hurst comes to the cage accompanied by Keep Their Heads Ringin'. Jamil Hurst is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamil Hurst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Khableep Noodlemegadov!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noodlemegadov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hurst tries to counter with a takedown but Noodlemegadov is quick to defend against it.
Hurst has a takedown stuffed.
Hurst looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hurst is defended easily by Noodlemegadov.
Noodlemegadov swings for the body but Hurst moves out of range.
Noodlemegadov takes a swing at Hurst's ribcage but misses.
Hurst avoids the body shot from Noodlemegadov.
Noodlemegadov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Noodlemegadov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hurst half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Noodlemegadov misses the shot to the body.

Noodlemegadov falls off balance throwing a combination

and Hurst counters with a shoot takedown. Noodlemegadov fights it but they end up in guard.
Noodlemegadov wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hurst manages to pass to side control.


Hurst is looking for a kimura here.

Hurst is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Hurst wants to free his trapped foot but Noodlemegadov is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Hurst trying to mount his opponent but Noodlemegadov defends it.
Hurst perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hurst wants to work for an arm triangle but Noodlemegadov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hurst seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Noodlemegadov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Still in half guard, Hurst seems content to control.
Hurst has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Hurst looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hurst is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Hurst seems to be working for a kimura but Noodlemegadov defends the submission attempt.

so Hurst counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hurst trying to control but Noodlemegadov is working from the bottom.

Hurst thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hurst wants to pass the guard but Noodlemegadov is keeping the position.
Hurst trying to control the position from guard on top but Noodlemegadov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Noodlemegadov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hurst slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hurst works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Hurst controlling the pace.

Hurst is looking for a kimura but Noodlemegadov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hurst to get the leverage.

Hurst is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Noodlemegadov!
Hurst takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Noodlemegadov wants to try and get back to his feet.
Hurst sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hurst has hold of Noodlemegadov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Noodlemegadov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hurst is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Noodlemegadov can do to turn this around?
Noodlemegadov squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Hurst goes for an armbar but Noodlemegadov turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Noodlemegadov.
Hurst looking for a sweep. Not yet Hurst, not yet.
Noodlemegadov wants to stand and escape but instead Hurst has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Hurst controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Noodlemegadov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hurst. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Noodlemegadov wants to stand but Hurst is controlling the position.

Hurst controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hurst wants to control from the top but Noodlemegadov keeps moving.
Hurst controls from within his opponent's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
