And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bear Claw!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jameison pushes Claw up against the cage in a clinch.
Claw tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jameison avoids it.
I was talking to Jameison's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Jameison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bear Claw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Jameison counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Claw is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Claw has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jameison avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jameison looks for a takedown but Claw sprawls well.
Claw misses with a two punch combination.
Claw closes the distance but Jameison moves to the side
and Jameison counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Jameison lands with a kick to the temple. Claw shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Bear Claw has been cut.
Jameison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Claw tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jameison manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Jameison counters with a crisp one two that drops Claw! Jameison thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Claw to his feet! Claw is in big trouble!

No luck with that takedown attempt from Jameison.

Claw throws a looping overhand right but Jameison ducks down to avoid it.
Jameison fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Claw displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jameison.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jameison avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jameison swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Jameison fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Claw.
Claw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jameison closes the distance and clinches.

Jameison breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jameison misses with a takedown attempt - Claw sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Jameison counters with a head kick that drops Claw to the mat! Claw scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
