Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Island Yonic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gancho Ganevski!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ganevski closes the distance but Yonic moves to the side
and Yonic counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Yonic sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Ganevski wants to sweep here but Yonic controlling him for the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yonic is pushing down on Ganevski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ganevski is fighting to maintain full guard but Yonic has managed to sneak the leg through.
Yonic takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yonic is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ganevski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yonic.
Ganevski is trying to stand.
Well, if Yonic is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Yonic has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Ganevski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yonic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Yonic maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ganevski could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Yonic has cracked it and Ganevski is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Yonic!
