Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Liger Justin (ranked 1880 p4p, 4326 weight class) and Rammsie Hartmann (ranked 266 p4p, 521 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Liger Justin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rammsie Hartmann!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartmann shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Justin sprawls well. Justin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hartmann gets slowly back to his feet.
A left and a right from Justin both land. Nice combination.

Liger Justin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Justin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hartmann's head.
Hartmann stuffs the takedown attempt from Justin. Justin gets slowly back to his feet.
Hartmann closes this distance looking for a takedown but Justin circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Justin dives in for a single leg takedown but Hartmann sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Justin just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hartmann's brow.

Hartmann is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Justin can't fight it off and eventually Hartmann manages to take the fight to the floor. Justin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Justin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Justin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Justin is working Hartmann over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hartmann wants to sweep here but Justin controlling him for the moment.

Justin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hartmann can do anything to dispel that myth.
Justin lands a couple of digs.
Justin throws a big right hand that misses.
Hartmann is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Justin pushing down on Hartmann's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Hartmann is not content to let Justin control the position.

Justin wants to control from the top but Hartmann keeps moving.
Hartmann is looking to stand up but Justin isn't so interested in that idea.
Justin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hartmann swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hartmann shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hartmann showed some decent athleticism there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Liger Justin dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Justin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hartmann pinned against the cage. Hartmann gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hartmann tries to close the distance and clinch but Justin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Justin shoots in and drives through. Hartmann sprawls well.
Justin shoots for a double leg takedown but Hartmann sprawls well. He's pushed Justin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liger Justin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hartmann wants to stand and escape but Justin is having none of it.
Justin chips away with some ground and pound.
Justin prevents Hartmann from getting back to his feet.

Justin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Justin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Hartmann wants to sweep but no luck.

Liger Justin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Justin won't allow Hartmann to get back to his feet.

Hartmann is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Justin cracks Hartmann with a right hand to the side of the head.
Hartmann punishes Justin's body with a nice straight punch.
Justin sizes up Hartmann with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Hartmann is rocked!
Justin circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Hartmann to the canvas! Hartmann doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Justin keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liger Justin!
