Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Balink Tarlah (ranked 2054 p4p, 3356 weight class) and William Lati (ranked 272 p4p, 414 weight class). Lati is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ye- Burna Boy. William Lati has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Balink Tarlah's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Balink Tarlah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, William Lati! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tarlah drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lati preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tarlah throws a big right hand that misses. Lati utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tarlah scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Lati keeping moving, preventing Tarlah from controlling successfully. Tarlah throws a big elbow that misses. Lati trying to keep a closed guard but Tarlah is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tarlah postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tarlah throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tarlah stopping the sweep attempt from Lati.

Tarlah makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tarlah trying to control the position from guard on top but Lati is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lati not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Tarlah loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Lati looks to score with a jab to the body but Tarlah is just out of range. Lati defending well as Tarlah loads up on a big left hand. Tarlah changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lati looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Lati sneaks out the side door and pushes Tarlah away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lati throws a right and a left that both miss. Lati throws out a loose jab but Tarlah uses good head movement to avoid it. Lati looks to land a combination but Tarlah avoids it well. Lati throws a jab but it's blocked by Tarlah. Lati misses the shot to the body. Tarlah attempts a counter takedown but Lati avoids it well and moves away. Tarlah slips a straight right by Lati. Tarlah lands a slapping body shot.
Tarlah takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Lati throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tarlah counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lati won't be happy with that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lati takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Tarlah in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Tarlah misses with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tarlah wants to control but Lati is keeping him busy. Lati tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tarlah scores with a couple of short elbows. Lati defending against the ground and pound. Lati felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Tarlah in side control, throwing shots but Lati defends. Lati is being controlled here. Lati is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tarlah has just dragged him back down to the mat. Tarlah working the ground and pound but Lati is defending the strikes. Tarlah lands a decent elbow from side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Balink Tarlah dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Lati throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tarlah counters with a stiff right hand. Tarlah misses with a looping right. Lati throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tarlah counters by moving into the clinch. Lati wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Balink Tarlah overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tarlah is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lati looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tarlah is one step ahead there. Tarlah is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lati can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tarlah's corner is telling him to maintain position. Tarlah is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Lati is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Lati throws a right and a left that both miss. Tarlah drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lati sprawls and moves away. Tarlah keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tarlah was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tarlah lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lati is not content to let Tarlah control the position. Lati wants to get back to his feet. Tarlah is looking to take a break and control but Lati is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tarlah taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tarlah lands a decent elbow from side control. Tarlah advances nicely into full mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tarlah cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Lati is trying desperately to improve position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Balink Tarlah dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Tarlah dives in and scores a takedown into Lati's guard. Lati kicks Tarlah off and gets to his feet. Lati misses with an uppercut. Tarlah shoots in and bounces Lati off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Lati pushes Tarlah off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tarlah dodges the punch combination from Lati.
Lati takes a swing at Tarlah's ribcage but misses. Tarlah looks for a takedown but Lati sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lati swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tarlah uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lati. William Lati is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tarlah lands with a hook. Lati tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Sloppy strikes from Lati. Those never looked like landing. Lati misses with an uppercut
and Tarlah counters with a takedown into side control. Tarlah looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Lati is avoiding damage well.

Tarlah lands a nice forearm strike. Tarlah cracks Lati with a big right hand but Lati just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lati defending against the ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tarlah is putting a hurting on Lati here, landing some big shots from side control. Tarlah trying to control the position but Lati is working away. Lati is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tarlah is controlling him well. Lati is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Tarlah is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lati's shoulder. That is not cool. Tarlah scoring with punches from side control. Tarlah working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Lati sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Lati kicks Tarlah off and gets back to his feet.

Lati preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lati controls Tarlah momentarily but Tarlah frees himself. Tarlah postures up in Lati's guard and throws a big left but Lati blocks it.
