Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Clarence Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philipp Tyurin!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyurin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Tyurin wants to slow Frost down by chopping away at his legs.
Frost was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Frost throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tyurin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fighters circling - Frost throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jab, jab by Tyurin - just one landing.
Tyurin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Frost slips under a jab from Tyurin.
Tyurin misses with a double jab
and Frost counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Philipp Tyurin has been cut.
Tyurin lands a slapping body shot.
Tyurin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Frost moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Frost walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good shot there by Tyurin.

Tyurin jabs Frost right on the nose. Frost blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Clarence Frost has been cut.
Tyurin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Frost takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tyurin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tyurin tests Frost's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Tyurin misses with a wild combination.

Tyurin clinches with his opponent.
Tyurin is stalling here.
Frost wants to break the clinch but can't.

Tyurin stalling against the cage.
Tyurin has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Tyurin just leaning against Frost, taking a breather.

Tyurin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tyurin sizes up Frost with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Frost throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Frost misses the shot to the body.
Tyurin unleashes a big counter combination but Frost bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Tyurin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Frost.
Tyurin tries to bum rush Frost with a series of wild strikes but Frost uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Frost fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tyurin manages to avoid it.

Tyurin darts in and clinches Frost up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Tyurin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Frost backwards.
Tyurin lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Tyurin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Tyurin has Frost pressed against the cage, preventing Frost from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Tyurin manages to break the clinch.
Frost misses with a hook
and Tyurin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Philipp Tyurin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Frost fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tyurin, pushing him back against the cage.

Tyurin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Tyurin moves into the clinch successfully.
Frost is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Tyurin's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Frost breaks from the clinch.

Oooooh!!! Tyurin has knocked Frost down with a huge combo! Tyurin steps away and waves a wobbly Frost back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Tyurin lands a left and a right that send Frost crashing to the mat, dazed. Tyurin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Frost is rocked!
Tyurin drops Frost with a naaaaasty hook - Frost is in real trouble here! Tyurin dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Philipp Tyurin!
Philipp Tyurin spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
