Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abduwali Hassan (ranked 917 p4p, 1248 weight class) and Kofi Jamay (ranked 99 p4p, 130 weight class). Jamay has chosen HUMBLE as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abduwali Hassan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kofi Jamay! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jamay uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hassan. Hassan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jamay's hands. Jamay gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jamay throws a leg kick that misses. Jamay throws a leg kick but Hassan sees it coming and moves out of range. Jamay lands with a nice combination. Hassan backs away looking to recover. Jamay misses with an attempted mid kick.
A lazy left from Hassan finds it's target. Kofi Jamay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jamay blocks a jab. A leg kick checked by Hassan. Jamay lands a two punch combo.
Hassan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice takedown defense from Hassan. No joy for Jamay on that attempt. Hassan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hassan misses with a low kick.
Jamay ducks right into an uppercut from Hassan. Jamay misses with a straight left. Hassan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

and Hassan counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Abduwali Hassan! Jumping up and down and very excited, Abduwali Hassan waved his t-shirt featuring Brooklyn Threads's logo in front of the cameras. Kofi Jamay was interviewed post fight and said 'You know man... Didn't go the way we planned. Gotta go back, regroup, ask a few questions... But I'mma be back don't you doubt that one minute! See ya'll lata!'.
